What is this?

ABetterStudyGuide.com is a dream of mine to help improve the grades of students of all ages, everywhere. Many like myself suffer from distraction, boredom, and many other terms (ADD anyone?) that just get slapped onto a lackluster grade come report time. Life is moving a million miles faster than it did 15 years ago. The ways in which we educate ourselves needs to be as dynamic as the world we educate ourselves for.

So what is a website going to do?

Aside from being 100% FREE? This website is going to learn WITH you. I created this site initially so that I could quiz myself differently each time. Sometimes I only had time for 5 quick random questions. Sometimes I wanted to study an entire section. I built an earlier version of this software for myself so that I could get a better grade my real estate exam. At first I started using the papers I had from class. But how do you keep track of which questions you took, when you took them, what score you got, etc? I soon learned I needed a better system if I was going to get the best grade possible the first time around.

I needed to know which questions I was continually missing (Word problems? True/False? Math?) and I needed a way to focus on those problem questions. I also needed a way that I could track my progress to see if I was getting closer to my goal. In other words, I needed a website like ABetterStudyGuide.com. This site is based off of a few important scientific truths about the way we learn things. If these interest you, check out our Science Of Studying section!

Not your normal study guide!

As you may have already noticed, we are NOT like anything out there that offers services that students can benefit from.

First off, we are 100% FREE and constantly growing.
Second, this site grows WITH you! As more suggestions and ideas come my way, the bigger and better this site gets - FOR FREE.
Third, I don't want your personal information - Giving some website your personal details will not help you improve your grades - I want to help you, not sell you.

There is so much more, but after using this site for a short while, you will start to realize this as well!

Money? Who Cares!

Educational software is a huge industry. We are reading every day that students are growing up with lower test scores in school, less proficiencies in general subjects, and something has to change. I wrote this software to help myself learn better, to help your children learn better, and to help YOU learn better.

I did not write this software to take advantage of your desires in order to get rich. Want to help me out? Pay It Forward - Tell Your Friends! Arizona is currently suffering from too many students, not enough teachers, and not enough money to go around. If anything, if I can at least help those in my state become better students, I'll have felt that I've contributed in some way.

I run this site on my own. Every other software company building "Educational/Edutainment" software has a company profile of 100 to 500+ employees and huge overhead. I have none. However, this does leave me with a lot of emails to check! If you don't get a response right away, please give me a little time. Currently I do my best to have any email answered in less than 24 hours :)
